L’Abominable is not just an important fixture in the cinema culture of Paris–although it is certainly that–it is also a model for the worldwide artist-run film lab movement. I’ve made the pilgrimage to La Courneuve (and before to Asnières) with my study abroad students from the U.S. several times, and I hope to be able to do that for decades to come!
